Eiffel Tower and Berets

The number one thing Penny wanted to do while we were in Europe was to see the Eiffel Tower. So, after a two hour long trek in the morning (waiting in line to buy the right tickets at the metro and then navigating the metro) we made it!

The kids all really liked it. It was a lot bigger than Max and Penny expected it to be. They had little signs posted along the way with fun activities for the kids and trivia, it was all related to the Olympics, that Penny really loved. We paid one Euro to let them look through one of the telescopes to see the city.

While we only went to the second stage instead of the very top, it was enough for all of us and we thankfully took the elevator down.

Penny also really really wanted a beret, so she got a pink one and Gwen got a purple one. We had to backtrack a little to take a picture in front of the tower, but I’m super glad we did.

We also had some crepes with Nutella, and I had french onion soup that was strangely sweet, salty, and savory all at the same time. Max had a delicious vanilla milkshake.

The girls were very excited about their beret's. They made us walk back to the tower after buying them so we could get a picture.
