Air BNB in Porto

TJ did a great job finding us a place in Porto. We stayed on a very quiet street that had some cafes and lots of old Portuguese people hanging out on benches. When Lindsay and I walked to the store about 3 buildings down the street was very quiet but very alive. The weather was nice so most people were sitting in their living rooms with the front door wide open. It was a little jarring at first walking literally 3 feet from people watching TV or knitting one their couches. People also had benches set up outside on the street and most of the day they were occupied with older people chatting and eating. Cars were parked on the street but almost no one drove through.

This is the view from our balcony, the light grey building with the blue awning was a super small grocery store. We sent Max there a few times on his own. Lindsay loved the tile on all of the buildings throughout the city.

Looking the other way there were some small cafes. The river was only a few blocks to the right.

My Portuguese is still very bad but I am pretty sure this guy was asking someone to grab him some bread from the store. After a lot of hand gesturing a man on the street went to the store and returned to the building with bread (Pão).

This super small bathroom seems fun. It took a little getting used to. We called it the Harry Potter bathroom.
