We walked down to the beach for Sea Man’s Day in Nazaré. There was a marching band, a parade on foot, and a parade with trucks decorated. It was the most people we have seen in town. Pretty young kids along with older residents participated in the parade.
A lot of the people carrying the statues were dressed like they were in a biker gang. The stick the guy is carrying is to prop the statue on when they stop to rest.
We couldn’t confirm anything but the decorations looked like caskets in the back of the trucks.
I also taught the kids how to make origami cranes and boxes.
