Lindsay made the correct decision to wait and spend the good weather day in Guimarães. It is the city where Portugal was founded. We visited the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza. They decorated it with items from the time period and tried to recreate how it would have looked inside. We also visited the castle next to it. Normally you can walk around on the walls of the castle. Thankfully this was closed for repairs. No heights this time. Plus it was free due to the wall closure.

We had dessert for lunch. The girls shared a strawberry milkshake that Gwen didn’t like. So she ended up eating some of the KitKat pancake tower that Max and Lindsay shared.
