We stopped on the drive back at some dinosaur footprints. There was a small walkway and a rope around most of them, but you were allowed to walk in and touch some also. They are supposedly around 160 million years old. It was a very quick visit due to the heat, but it was really cool to be able to step in a dinosaur’s footprint.
We also took Sarah and Pete to Tomar to see the convent and get some more “Kiss Me Quick” pastries. I finally broke and bought a souvenir dagger I had wanted since we got here. Below are pictures of the two girls holding it. I needed to make a record so when one of them takes me out people will know who did it.
90% of the prints were roped off. This is one of the ones you are allowed to touch.
The kids love Tomar. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact it is only 45 minutes away.
Lovely Penny gingerly holding my new dagger in its sheath .
Gwen immediately unsheathed it and demanded cupcakes.
