We had tickets for the Vatican Museum early in the morning. There were so many different lines outside of the walls. We managed to find the right one and got in. I didn’t know that we were going to get to go through the Sistine Chapel at the end. You aren’t allowed to take photos inside and it is very strictly enforced. The Vatican Museum was interesting and we could see the house that the previous pope retired to when he abdicated office.
We crossed a bridge on the way and a street vendor kept pointing at my pants and saying there was something wrong with my trousers. When he got closer he tried to quickly tie a bracelet on me and I started to pull away. Not fast enough for Lindsay though. She dragged the girls over and yelled “NO GO AWAY” many times. It was nice to be taken care of and protected.
While in Rome we call our son by his full name. Maximus.
The spiral staircase reminded me of the one at Quinta in Portugal.
I finally got to eat fettuccine alfredo in Rome. It was everything I hoped for.
